I just tried to install the Julia/Juno bundle from julialang.org. I couldn't even get the basic examples in the tutorial to work as I do not have the Jewel.jl package installed. I suspect the reason for the failure is that I'm behind a corporate firewall, which is preventing the git download. It recommends to install the package with Pkg.add("Jewel").
In my experience (across several different languages), getting things to work behind the firewall is a PITA, so if a bunch of git'ing is required, then I'm just going to stick with the command line.
