Experiment time! I recently added a new category to the forum called wishlist. Everything that gets posted in here can be voted on, which means that we'll know what things are most popular/needed and what to prioritise.
Everyone gets 3 votes which you can spread out as you wish; once a feature is implemented, you automatically get the votes back so that you can vote for something else.
What makes a good feature request? Obviously there are some large, nebulous features that we know are important like plotting, debugging or profiling. While having these listed doesn't hurt, it's better for us to have narrowly-defined requests with obvious milestones: for example, "plotting history" or "option to change startup file location".
Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
